Trying to get back in the game, some questions.
Hi guys,
so I decided to start GW again, but my GW account has been deleted. Now a few questions remain before I start. 1. Which Guild Wars expansion is currently the most popular?(I do not wish to play a dead expansion). 2.Which one is the most fun? 3. Which one do you recommend that I get( I'm going to play GW2, but I'll play GW 1 first, as a sort of preparation.) |

1. Nightfall. Start and finish Nightfall, then on to Eye of the North and finish that. Eye of the North is where the Hall of Monuments is located. Points in HoM will follow you into GW 2 as special armor and items to show your vet status.
http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-gam...-of-monuments/ 2. Well, I liked Nightfall best. Eye of the North is a good followup. Note that Eye of the North does not have a place to start a character. You must start in Nightfall, Factions, or Prophecies. Nightfall is also where you start getting heroes. Once these are fully set up with skills and gear you own the game. Takes a while. 3. Actually, GW 2 will be so different from GW 1 in game play and combat that it really does not matter. Use the ingame wiki to get up to speed or go to the link below. http://www.guildwiki.org/Main_Page Last edited by wilebill; Aug 06, 2011 at 12:14 PM // 12:14.. Reason: typo |

1. Eye of the North is currently the most popular expansion. (Technically, it's the only 'expansion', but ... details, details... I think I know what you mean.) But, you need to start in a campaign to get to EotN - I'd recommend Nightfall.
2. The one you like the best, is the most fun. There's really no other way to put it. 3. I'd recommend that you get the Trilogy+EotN or The Complete Collection, rather than just any one campaign. It's relatively cheap these days, and you will then have access to all of the content. There are things to do later in the game, which lead to GW2, and which require you to have access to Prophecies and (now) Factions. Btw, when you say your old account was deleted, go you mean that it was deleted/banned by ANet, or just that you deleted GW off your computer. If you simply deleted GW, your account still exists, if you can remember the username, password, and a character name. Last edited by Quaker; Aug 06, 2011 at 02:03 PM // 14:03.. |

1 I'd say it's pretty dead compared to what it was a couple of years ago, but where the large crowd is is where the daily quests are. (check out zaishen quests on the wiki http://www.guildwiki.org/Main_Page, look at the 'current events' box on the main page).
2 Hmm, all of them? 3 Get all, it's cheap and you get access to all the skills etc. It's pretty important. But start in night fall as it'll give you access to heroes right off the bat and the learningcurve isn't too steep. You probably wanna fill the hall of monuments (which is in the eotn expansion) because it will give you rewards in gw2. |

I highly suggest making an attempt to retrieve your old account.
Unless you were banned for illegal activity (bearing in mind that's different from a freeze if you were hacked), your account should still be there. If you cannot remember your account name, password, and a character name, contact support to help you get back in. |
